Perfectionistic, all-or-nothing thinking often makes us feel overwhelmed and stuck.
Waiting for the "right time" or "perfect" conditions.
Sadly, wishing or waiting won't move us any closer to the thing we want to have, do or be.
Getting Unstuck:
Accept and understand where you are now.
Dream the big dream to create and know your North Star — which is your unique idea of "perfection," aka the ideal outcome.
What's your WHY?
Why do you want this in the first place?
What would it bring you that you believe you currently lack?
What feelings do you believe it will bring you?
ex. safety, security, joy, relaxation, connection, belonging, love, etc.
The feeling beneath your desire is far more important than the thing itself.
You don't necessarily want the money itself — you want the feelings of security, freedom and peace.
With your North Star in mind and awareness & acceptance of where you are now in relation to it, decide on the smallest inspired step you can take now that would move you closer.
It must feel manageable and practical.
Something is always better than nothing.
Let it be imperfect and messy.
Have fun with it.
Making mistakes is how we learn & build resilience.
Take breaks when you need them to refresh and then come back.
Rest is productive for your performance.
You'll be glad that you didn't wait and built momentum, even if it looked messy.
Final Thoughts
You don't need much outside of our survival needs.
Gratitude & taking note of what you do have is essential for peace of mind and accumulating more positive experiences.
Find examples of people who you can relate to that already have the thing you want — what could you learn from their experience?
Know where and when to receive help.
This is a huge strength rather than weakness.
Life is not a series of destinations; it's 99% the journey.
Enjoy it! Let it be full of fun, passion, compassion, and authenticity.
The path to get to your North Star may look very different than how you thought it would.
Remain flexible and open in your approach.
Laughter is the best medicine and taking life too seriously is poison.
"When working through ways of solving a puzzle, there are no mistakes. Each unsuccessful solution gets you closer to the one that works." - Rick Rubin
